Is it purely imagination or is it that corruption is flourishing in Australia? There is a long line of illegal immigrants entering or preparing to enter Australia. The Federal Government claim to have it all in hand and our shores are being protected. Then how is it that Christmas Island is struggling to cope and does the Government or anyone really know how many people have entered without authority?

While the Federal Government flounder for a solution and the Federal Opposition act like a poker player with a full hand, the Greens and Independents disagree with everything, particularly each other.

Ostensibly, the Government and the Immigration Department are taking every precaution to vet all persons detected while attempting to enter the country. This may be difficult considering that most have done everything possible to conceal their identities and their past. Still, a check has to be made to ensure those illegal immigrants; drug runners; criminals; sex workers and every other deviant is identified and turned back or welcomed so they may inflict more anguish on the Australian public..

Do we believe that, or is it something William Shakespeare would have said is “Much ado about nothing?

Do you see a pattern developing that may even have something to do with hypocrisy? Taking it further:

On December 22, 2011, News.com reported “The number of New Zealanders heading to Australia has hot another all-time record, with nearly 1000 people a week crossing the ditch in the past year.”

Do you, the reader, notice anomalies on the part of the Government and Immigration? Many Australian’s would suggest that “ditch” should be turned into a “chasm.”

On December 12, 2011, News.com said, “Database of NZ crims being considered: A National database that is used to check criminal histories could soon include people convicted of crimes in New Zealand. The move comes after Queensland public servant and New Zealand national Hohepa Morehu-Barlow allegedly scammed $16 million from Queensland Health. It has been alleged that Morehu-Barlow has a criminal history in his native country.”

Oh! C’mon now. Everyone knows that if a foreign national has difficulty in getting into Australia, all he/she has to do is firstly get into New Zealand. Trying to cross the Timor sea on a boat is one thing but what of those crossing the “Ditch” “Government and Immigration taking every precaution…?” Remember one thing, an element of New Zealander’s refer to us Australians derogatorily as “Pakeha.”

On December 14, 2011, News.com said: “Asylum seeker 'touched' girls – claim: An Immigration detainee was kicked out of the Darwin wave pool after he allegedly tried to feel the breasts of six primary school girls.”

Once upon a time that would have constituted an indecent assault charge least. Nothing more has been heard of that sexual offender. Is the Government and Immigration busy processing his claim to asylum? A little further and we have sexual assault but then, is that Carnal Knowledge or Rape? Sorry, those offences as with buggery (ie) Sodomy, have now been given other names or no longer exist.

Is it possible that because of the inability of Australian law enforcement to obtain the criminal history of near neighbours? Is it possible that border protection such as travel alerts permit virtually unrestricted entry?  There are numerous terrorist attacks recorded throughout the world; not the least being that in New York (9/11.)

Once-upon-a-time, police had power; the power to control unruly elements in society so that the population could live in peace. Civil Liberties took care of that and the Government added to the erosion of Australia’s self-determination by signing and enforcing protocols that do more for the ‘undesirable elements” of the world while ignoring the welfare of its people.

One of the less desirable parts of police was the controversial Special Branch. These sections through the States looked into personal affairs where illegal activity occurred or was suspected. Civil Liberties disapproved and Special Branches were abandoned and made illegal.

Strangely, Queensland found a way around that and founded their own department. Any former policeman going to:-

http://www.confirm.citec.com.au/citecConfirm/services/index.shtml will immediately notice that Citec do essentially the same work they and the Special Branch once did. Did you hear someone say that the Special Branch was dead and buried? Not in the Moonlight State.

But how quickly things move when the Government take hands of the steering wheel.

HMAS Maryborough intercepts boat carrying a suspected 116 asylum seekers A boat carrying 116 suspected asylum seekers on board has been intercepted off the West Australian coast.  The Home Affairs Minister said the boat was intercepted north of Christmas Island on Saturday. Indonesia is North of Christmas Island. The Island is 1966km from Broome, Australia and 492km from Jakarta. Why then does the Minister (or is it the press) emphasise that it was located off the Western Australian Coast. With directions like that from the Minister isn’t it a wonder the navigator of the HMAS Maryborough never ended up lost in the Indian Ocean? Perhaps a solution would be to cede Christmas Island to the United States. If asylum seekers were sent to Guantanamo for processing, what would the impact be in people smuggling?
